Staying at The Burrow - Things you need to Know

So, you're ready to book with us? Perfect!

We have a few things that either we would like you to know, or, that we think you would like to know.

Read on for more information about staying with us, and, if there's something we've not covered that you'd like information or clarity on, please do feel free to contact us here!

Prior to Your Stay

Before arriving for your stay with us, we require that all guests:

  • Have valid, current veterinary compliant vaccinations.

  • Have received a dose of wormer and anti parasite (flea and tick) treatment.

  • Are in good health.

This is to ensure everyone had a healthy and happy stay. For further information about these requirements, please view our terms and conditions here.

Finding The Burrow

Part of our uniqueness is our rural and tucked away location. However, this can mean that we don't always show up in the correct location on Sat Navs.

The easiest way to find us is we are 4 houses up from the village hall. If you've exited the village, you've gone to far, and if you've passed the old pub on your left, you've already driven past us.

We have a swinging farm style sign above our property, that displays our name, as well as a plaque on our picket fence to the front. Although we don't have a house number, if the sat nav asks for one, entering 26 should bring you to outside our property.

Arriving at The Burrow

Please feel free to park on our driveway, we have left a space for you! Once you have arrived, we ask that all cats are placed in a secure cat carrier before leaving the vehicle. We very sadly can't take any responsibility for cats that are not placed in a secure cat carrier prior to leaving their owners vehicle. The entrance to the cattery is via the side side gate to the left of our house, down the walkway. Ring the Doorbell, and we will come and greet you, and help you with your luggage.

 Checking In

We will take you to your cabin, and show you around! We will ask you to place some of your cats' belongings in places within the cabin, where you feel they would like them. We can answer any questions you may have about your cats stay with us, or update any recent changes to information to your details or medical history.

Keeping in Touch

During your kitties stay with us, we like to keep you updated with what they are up to. We aim to do this every 2-3 days, and will usually be sent via Whatsapp or Email, depending on circumstances. This could be photos, videos, or general information updates. We love to share our fun with you whilst you're away.

Checking Out

A Checking Out time will have been arranged at time of booking, and we ask as much as is possible for you to stick to this time. It means smooth running of the cattery, and less stress for the kitties if they know when you're turning up for cuddles. During check out we will run through what your feline family member has been up to during their stay, what we have learnt about them, and if there is any information we need to share with you. Its also a perfect opportunity for you to ask questions about their stay with us. We will also help you to your car with you luggage.
