2. Health/Illness

Whilst guests staying here receive every care and attention, they are boarded entirely at the risk of the owner. Should any cat fall ill whilst being boarded we will contact your veterinary clinic where possible or our veterinary surgeon and act upon their advice and the expenses incurred will be met by the owner of the cat.
We have comprehensive cover to insure your cats whilst they are in our care, however, please be aware we are unable to insure against any pre-existing conditions your cat may have, or in the event of injury resulting from guests from the same household sharing a suite.

We will make every effort to contact you using the emergency contact details you have provided to talk through any issues that may arise. Please be aware, that if we are unable to contact you, we will make a decision on your behalf. This will always be in the best interest of your cats and based on veterinary recommendations.
Should a guest be found to have fleas or worms, we will consult with a vet and treat the cat at the owner's cost. A deep cleaning and fumigation cost will be payable of £50 in addition to any vets fees for treatment incurred. Vet visits for non urgent care will also incur and additional £25 charge payable to The Burrow before check out. A full vet report and receipt for treatment will be provided to you.

We reserve the right to refuse to board any cat that we feel is not 'in good health', or where the owner asks us to carry out procedures or care that we feel puts the welfare of the cat at risk. In this instance the booking will be cancelled, no refund of fees will be offered and the full amount for the booked stay remains payable.

All medications to be administered must be labelled with dosage and the cats name, with enough to cover their stay. For diabetic cats, enough clean insulin needles/syringes must be provided for their entire stay (1 per dose administered) , with spares, along with a sharps box and a written vet history. Syringes must match the type of Insulin given. Where this is not provided, we reserve the right to either a) cancel the booking, with no refund offered and full balance to be paid b) contact our vets to have the above equipment prescribed and issued. A vet appointment charge, cost of consumables + £25 will be payable in addition to the boarding cost in this instance. Your cat's health and welfare is of paramount importance to us.
